If you use Claude only as a chat interface for one-off questions, you are using maybe 20% of what you pay for. These six features change the game for business users — and almost nobody talks about them.
1. Projects (persistent context). The single most underused feature. Load your ICP, voice guide, examples, and reference docs once. Every conversation in the Project starts with that context loaded. Quality goes up, prep time goes to zero. See what is Claude Projects.
2. Artifacts (structured outputs). Claude can produce real artifacts — full HTML docs, working code, formatted reports — not just text. For business use this means production-grade deliverables, not just drafts. Underused.
3. Computer use / MCP integrations. Newer capability. Claude can use computer applications, browse, and act through Model Context Protocol integrations. For automated workflows this is meaningful. Most teams have not deployed this yet.
4. Style settings (formality, length, format). Claude responds differently based on style preferences set per Project. Set them once for consistent output style. Often overlooked because it is in settings rather than in-chat.
5. File upload and analysis. Upload 100-page documents, contracts, financial reports. Claude reads the whole thing — not just chunks. Excellent for legal review, financial analysis, customer research synthesis.
6. Conversation history search. All your prior conversations are searchable. Reference past prompt patterns or revisit prior outputs. Powerful for personal knowledge management.
